NSW Health has identified two further venues of concern as part of its ongoing investigations into two cases of COVID-19 in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the times specified is asked to immediately get tested and isolate until NSW Health provides further advice. This applies to everyone, including those who have been partially or fully vaccinated.

Today’s two new locally acquired cases are household contacts of each other; a man and woman in their 50s from Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The man’s infection was first reported in a public health alert yesterday.
“Urgent investigations into the source of their infections and contact tracing are ongoing,” NSW Health said in a statement today.
“An immediate family member, who does not live in the same household as both new cases, has returned a negative result.”
Meanwhile, NSW Health was last night notified that fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 have been detected in the Marrickville Sewage Network.
This catchment includes about 42,000 people and takes sewage from the following suburbs – Dulwich Hill, Marrickville, Summer Hill, Lewisham, Ashfield, Haberfield, Petersham, Lilyfield and Leichhardt.
“NSW Health is asking everyone in the area to be especially vigilant in monitoring for symptoms, and if they appear get tested and isolate immediately until a negative result is received,” the health authority said.
“NSW Health has provided a new COVID-19 pop-up testing clinic and extended hours at existing clinics, including drive-throughs, to support increased testing in Sydney’s east and inner city.”
A new pop-up clinic has been established at Albion Street Centre Laverty Pathology, at the Crown Street entrance to the Albion Centre at 50 Albion Street in Surry Hills. It will be open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, with weekend hours of operation to be advised.
