SMS geo-targeting technology has once again been heralded a success by NSW Police after an 83-year-old man who suffers from dementia was found safe after going missing on Sydney’s North Shore earlier this month.
The technology, already utilised by other government agencies such as the Rural Fire Service, sends a targeted message to residents near where a person goes missing.
