A 77-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after being bitten by a deadly brown snake in the state’s north west.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance this morning to carry out an urgent medical retrieval from Warialda Hospital to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
“The 77-year-old male patient who is suffering a serious reaction following a snakebite, has been stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team and airlifted to Tamworth is a serious condition for further specialist medical treatment,” the Westpac Rescue Service said in a statement.
