KISS star contracts COVID-19

KISS rock band frontman, Paul Stanley, 69, has tested positive to COVID-19.

The chart-topping group was due to appear on stage in Pennsylvania on Thursday night but cancelled following the musician’s diagnosis.

Stanley, who is vaccinated against COVID-19, said the whole band, crew and “everyone on the entire tour” had been fully vaccinated.

“The band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows,” he said in a statement.

The asymptomatic rock star told fans he is “fine”, describing his diagnosis as “absolute nonsense”.

“PEOPLE!!! I am fine! I am not in ICU! My heart allows me to do 26 miles a day on my bike! I don’t know where this came from but it’s absolute nonsense” he said in a Tweet.
