To kick off the 2021 NSW Seniors Festival, Macleay seniors were treated to morning tea with Kempsey Shire Mayor, Liz Campbell and a tour of the Black Summer & Beyond bushfire photo exhibition on display at the Slim Dusty Centre today.
Today marks the beginning of 12 days of activities planned for seniors within the region as part of the NSW Seniors Festival.

“The Macleay Seniors Festival is not just about celebrating the contribution that seniors make to our vibrant community but also a demonstration of opportunities available to seniors throughout our wonderful Macleay Valley to increase their enjoyment of life and activities,” said Mayor Campbell.
“Hosted by local groups and organisations, the 2021 Macleay Seniors Festival has something for everyone, including those with restrictions on mobility. There are a wide variety of activities available throughout the Macleay – so no need for anyone to miss out!”
Hardcopies of the local festival events list will be made available at Customer Services, Libraries and distributed to groups across the Macleay.
