Wollongong Council has a host of activities planned for the upcoming NSW Seniors Festival.
Among the workshops on offer, is the Wicking Beds gardening tutorial – where you’ll learn how to make your garden more water efficient.
Gardening can be so rewarding but when you want to go on holidays it can be difficult to find someone who will water your garden while you are away.
Wicking Beds or Pots may be the answer for you. You can create your own wicking bed, it’s not hard.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make a wicking bed to grow a variety of vegies. They can be watering themselves and getting bigger while you are off relaxing.

The workshops will be held on Friday, April 23 from 10am to noon at Corrimal Library, 15 Short Street, Corrimal.
