That a release of 40,000 new Home Care Packages (HCPs) was being made to alleviate those on the waitlist to get access to home care sooner.
- 20,000 packages will be made available before 1 November 2025
- An additional 20,000 will be released by 31 December 2025
This announcement is a critical step in improving access to aged care and helping more people live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.
