62-year-old man charged with stabbing

A 62-year-old man has been charged after the stabbing of a woman in Tahmoor yesterday morning.

Police say that at about 10.40am on Monday, emergency services were called to a business on York Street following reports of a violent domestic dispute.

On arrival officers found a 32-year-old woman suffering lacerations to her hands, and a fractured wrist. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment.

The 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene and also taken to hospital for assessment.

Upon his release, he was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.
