Police got a lot more than they bargained for when they pulled over a vehicle at Elanora yesterday.
Police say a Nissan Navara four-wheel drive vehicle was intercepted by officers during a routine traffic stop on the Pacific Motorway at about 4.20pm on Thursday.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately $3 million in cash notes stacked inside three bags,” Queensland Police said in a statement today.
“The female driver and her male passenger are assisting police with enquiries.”
Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the funds.
