Kennie Simon Celebrates “16 Years of Hits with Hot Chocolate” – A Soulful Celebration of One of Britain’s Greatest Bands

The unmistakable voice of Hot Chocolate takes centre stage in this powerful tribute to one of the UK’s most enduring and beloved soul groups. Kennie Simon: 16 Years of Hits with Hot Chocolate celebrates Kennie’s remarkable journey as the band’s frontman — a journey that has taken him across the world and into the hearts of fans old and new.

Audiences will relive the timeless hits that defined a generation, including “You Sexy Thing,” “Every 1’s a Winner,” “Emma,” and “It Started with a Kiss.” Delivered with unmatched authenticity and soul, this is the music of Hot Chocolate performed by the man who has kept the legacy alive for over a decade and a half.

Kennie’s story is as captivating as the music itself. From humble beginnings in Hampstead, London, to early days fronting Simon K and the Meantimers, his career has spanned Abbey Road studio sessions, Northern Soul favourites, and decades of live performance. A single life-changing phone call — inviting him to join Hot Chocolate for a show in Düsseldorf — launched a new chapter that would define his career.

“We went on stage and the place erupted,” Kennie recalls. “They all thought it was Errol Brown. The show went down fantastically well — and that night, the band asked me to become their new singer. I’ve been with them ever since.”

Since then, Kennie has carried the Hot Chocolate torch across continents, performing to sold-out audiences from Australia to Abu Dhabi. His passion for music remains as strong as ever.

“Music is the spice of life,” says Kennie. “Once it’s in you, it never leaves you. I’ll keep writing and singing until someone says, ‘OK mate, you’ve gone past your sell-by date!’”

Kennie Simon: 16 Years of Hits with Hot Chocolate is more than a concert — it’s a musical journey through soul, love, and melody. Expect powerhouse vocals, heartfelt stories, and a celebration of the songs that made Hot Chocolate one of the greatest soul bands of all time.
