WA’s Shire of Murray Council has launched its ‘Winter Wanderers’ hiking series in Dwellingup.
The series, in partnership with award-winning guides from Off The Beaten Track WA, aims to increase hiking participation by educating, inspiring and upskilling participants on hiking best practice and the local trails in the Visit Dwellingup region.
The Council says the project will deliver a series of six hikes during the winter period on various trails in the Shire of Murray.
“Encouraging you to explore Dwellingup’s beautiful landscapes, gain essential hiking skills and a deeper appreciation for the great outdoors with the one of the best in the business,” Council said in a statement.
The hiking events include the Chuditch and Island Pool Guided Hike, winding through the Jarrah forest, lined with impressive stands of grass trees, the Dwellingup to Nanga Guided Hike along the iconic Bibbulmun Track, and the simply stunning Marrinup Falls Guided Hike. Council says each of these events are a great way to build confidence to explore the trails on your own.
Each hike costs $20 per adult and $15 per child. Bookings are essential as spaces are limited. To find out more information and to book, visit www.visitdwellingup.com.au.
