Youths in brazen Senior attack

Police are calling for witnesses following a shocking daylight attack on an elderly man in Creswick yesterday morning.

Police say the elderly man was walking along Victoria Street towards the railway line about 11.30am when three youths began verbally abusing him.

The young people, who police believe are aged between 10 and 12, then threw stones and other objects at the man.

It is not believed that the man was physically injured, though he was left thoroughly shaken by the incident. 

Police are investigating the incident and are calling for anyone who witnessed what occurred to contact them.

Creswick Police Station is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 precautions but local police are still on patrol and can be reached by phone if needed.
