WA Police are hunting for a man who threw a steel tool through a female driver’s window in Greenfields yesterday, leaving the woman with a serious head wound.
Mandurah Detectives say that at around 7pm the victim, a 45-year-old woman, was driving her white Ford Falcon sedan on Murdoch Drive.
As she turned left on Mississippi Drive, opposite Bortolo Park, a man has run up to her car and thrown socket extender tool through the driver’s window.
The socket extender has struck the victim on the right hand side of her head.
Bleeding heavily from the wound, the woman managed to drive a short distance further to a nearby home where she stopped for assistance.
The victim was treated at the Peel Health Campus and received 18 staples to her head wound.
The man is described as dark skinned, in his 20’s, 170cm tall, stocky build, wearing a black hooded jumper and black shorts.
Detectives would like anyone to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any suspicious activity in Bortolo Park around the time of this incident.
