A woman aged in her 60s has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a tree fell on the tent she was camping in near Armidale overnight.
NSW Ambulance tasked the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to transport the woman to Armidale Hospital earlier today. Paramedics say she was suffering critical head injuries following the incident.
“The helicopter medical team with the help of hospital staff stabilised the lady.”
“The woman has been airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition,” Westpac Rescue said in a statement.
