Woman injured after falling against moving bus

WA Police Traffic Enforcement Group officers are seeking information regarding a crash in Morley that saw a woman in her 70s seriously injured after stumbling and hitting her face against a bus.

Police say the incident occurred at around 9.30pm yesterday as a bus was pulling away from a bay at the Morley Bus Station on Russell Street.

Officers say they believe the woman was attempting to stop the bus when she fell.

“The woman in her 70s stumbled and fell, hitting her face against the bus as she fell,” WA Police said in a statement.

“The woman was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious facial injuries that will require extensive surgery.”
