An 86-year-old woman has died in a collision in the state’s north-west yesterday.
Police say that at around 4pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to the Kamilaroi Highway near Duke Street, Quirindi, about 70kms south of Tamworth, following reports a Holden Commodore and cattle truck had collided.
The Holden driver, an 86-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 34-year-old man, was uninjured. He was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Oxley Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
