An 86-year-old woman has died following a single vehicle traffic crash at Gympie on Monday, June 27th.
“Preliminary investigations indicate the 86-year-old driver from Araluen was travelling on Old Maryborough Road when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. She sustained serious injuries and was later transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
“On Wednesday July 6, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased,” Queensland Police said.
