Woman, 84, charged over crash that killed six-year-old boy

Victoria Police Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged an 84-year-old woman following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a six-year-old boy in Teesdale in March.

It is alleged the young boy, Caleb Wesley (pictured), was hit by a vehicle as he was walking to school on Bannockburn-Shelford Road just after 8am on March 27th and died at the scene.

“The vehicle involved allegedly left the scene and was later located at an address in Teesdale,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“A Teesdale woman has been charged with fail to stop, fail to render assistance and fail to report a collision.”

The woman has been bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on November 28th.
