Police are investigating a house fire that claimed the life of a 75-year-old woman at North Lakes this morning.
Emergency services were called to an address on Hervey Street around 10.20am after a home was reported to be fully engulfed by flames.
A deceased person was located inside. Police believe it to be the home’s 75-year-old resident, police said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Investigations are continuing.
