The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious single-vehicle motorcycle crash at Berserker in Rockhampton last night, which has left a 61-year-old woman with critical injuries.
Initial police investigations indicate that just before 6pm, a black moped was travelling north along the old Fitzroy Bridge when it lost control and crashed.
“The rider, a 61-year-old Berserker woman, was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a critical condition,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or CCTV of the area around that time, to come forward.”
