Witnesses to Murrumbidgee crash sought

Police are appealing for assistance from the community following a serious crash in the state’s Murrumbidgee region yesterday that has left a 62-year-old man suffering serious head injuries.

Police say that at around 2.40pm on Sunday, a man was riding his motorcycle along Whitton Darlington Point Road at Darlington Point, when he crashed about a kilometre east of Kooba Street.

“The 62-year-old rider suffered serious head injuries and was found by a passing motorist,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

“The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital where he was also treated for internal injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.”
