Victoria Police have issued a warning to the public not to approach a Fawkner man wanted by police after he removed his electronic monitoring device – effectively disappearing from police view – while on a home-based supervision order.
Police say 27-year-old Braydon Carrington (pictured), removed his monitoring device from his body on August 1. Officers have not being able to locate him since that time.
“Carrington is subject to an Interim Supervision Order as a Serious Violent Offender and is required to wear an electronic monitoring device fitted to his body, live at a specific address, and maintain regular appointments with police,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Investigators believe Carrington is actively avoiding police, and anyone who sights him is urged not to approach and contact triple zero (000) immediately.”
Police have released mages of Carrington in the hope someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts.
Carrington is Caucasian, about 182cm tall, with a medium build, brown hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion. He is known to frequent the Fawkner and Greater Geelong areas.
Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
