Two dead in Wagga truck crash

Two men aged in their 70s have died following a fatal truck crash in the state’s south this afternoon.

Police say that at around 2.35pm today, emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle truck crash at the intersection of Hale Street and Oura Road at Wagga Wagga.

“Officers from Riverina Police District attended and found a truck had crashed into a railway overpass,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Two men – the driver and sole passenger – both died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified, however, are both believed to be aged in their 70s.”
