A 15-year-old girl is one of three people charged after three police vehicles were damaged by a stolen car at Surfers Paradise last night.
Police say that at around 8.20pm on Thursday, a stolen black Q7 Audi was seen entering a carpark on Ferny Avenue.
“A police vehicle followed the vehicle into the car park while two police vehicles remained at the entrance of the carpark,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
Police located the Audi Q7 in the carpark detaining a 29-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl.
“While arresting the pair a black Audi Q3, which was reported stolen from Robina on May 20, has allegedly driven at speed at the unoccupied police vehicle striking it and causing extensive damage,” Police said.
The stolen Audi Q3 then continued down to the entrance where it has allegedly struck the two police vehicles parked there.
A 29-year-old woman from Surfers Paradise has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess dangerous drugs, possess relevant substance, receiving tainted, stealing and two counts of breach of bail.
An 18-year-old man from Coomera has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess property suspected used in connection with drug offence, obstruct and two counts of possess a dangerous drug.
Both are due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
A 15-year-old girl has also been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of trespass and stealing. She has been remanded in police custody to appear in Southport Children’s Court at a later time.
