Seven people – including a 61-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman – were due to face court today after police seized more than $52 million worth of cannabis south-west of Lismore yesterday.
Police attended an Ellangowan property at about 11.30am on Tuesday, and will allege in court that the property was being used for the large-scale cultivation of cannabis.
Officers seized more than 15,000 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of $52.7 million.
Six men aged between 41 and 61, and a 52-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station.

All seven were charged with participate in criminal group contribute activity, and knowingly take part-cultivate large commercial quantity-cannabis.
They were refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court today.
