Police seek witnesses to Granville crash

An investigation is underway following a crash that left a woman in a critical condition in Sydney’s west this morning.

Police say that just before 5am today, emergency services were called to Parramatta Road near Good Street, Granville, after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

“A 21-year-old woman was located suffering serious injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“The driver of the vehicle – a 53-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

“A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.”
