Police search for female offender in carjacking of 80-year-old woman

Victorian Police are appealing for information to identify the female offender involved in the aggravated carjacking and kidnapping of an 80-year-old woman in St Kilda on 6 July.

Police say that as the woman got into her car, an unknown woman opened the passenger door and got in.

They say the unknown woman then threatened the victim with what is believed to have been a large carving fork, holding it to her neck and pulling her hair as she demanded money.

The offender demanded the woman drive her to the airport, but the victim instead drove to Carlisle Street, St Kilda where the armed woman fled the vehicle.

Police say the offender was wearing a white coloured long sleeve shirt, light coloured pants, a black jacket wrapped around her shoulders, a multi-coloured backpack and black shoes at the time of the alleged offence.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
