Police appeal for witnesses to Bouldercombe crash

The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of a two-vehicle traffic crash in Bouldercombe at Rockhampton this morning.

Initial investigations indicate that at around 7.20am, a Nissan Navara was travelling south along Razorback Road when it struck with a Mazda 323 travelling in the opposite direction near Waynes Lane.

The driver of the Mazda, a 73-year-old Mount Morgan man, and the passenger, a 70-year-old Mount Morgan woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to Rockhampton Hospital.

The other driver left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

A passenger in the utility, a 39-year-old Mount Morgan man, was taken to Rockhampton with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, are urged to contact police.
