Queensland Police are appealing for the Good Samaritan who came to the aid of a 70-year-old woman allegedly assaulted and left by the side of the road in Richlands last Tuesday to come forward.
Police say the female motorist, travelling along Industrial Avenue, between Progress Road and Formation Street at Richlands on May 2nd, stopped and assisted the woman at around 3.30pm, transporting her to shops in Goodna.
The 70-year-old victim of the alleged assault contacted police on May 5, with officers arresting and charging a 38-year-old Bundamba man later that day.
He was denied police bail and appeared in the Richlands Magistrates Court on May 8 charged with 13 offences, including three counts of serious assault of a woman over 60 and two counts each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, common assault and wilful damage.
The man was remanded in custody to re-appear at the Richland Magistrates Court on July 10.
“Police are wishing to speak with the female motorist who stopped and help the woman on Tuesday, May 2,” Queensland Police said today.
