NSW Police are appealing for public assistance and dashcam footage after a 70-year-old cyclist was found with serious head injuries on a roadside in Sydney’s south west this morning.
Police say that at around 11.40am, emergency services attended Cowpasture Road, Green Valley after receiving reports a man had been located badly injured.
“The 70-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Initial inquiries indicate the man was riding a bicycle when he sustained the injuries. Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
“Specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash – or who may have dashcam footage from the area – to come forward.
