Queensland Police are investigating the death of an 87-year-old pedestrian, killed in a collision with a four-wheel-drive at Helensvale this afternoon.
“Police were called to a service station at the intersection of Millaroo Drive and Millennium Circuit around 1pm in regard to a collision between a four-wheel-drive and an 87-year-old pedestrian,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
The 87-year-old man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
The 57-year-old male driver was uninjured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
