Pedestrian, 86, critical after Brendale collision

Queensland Police are investigating the circumstances of a serious car and pedestrian incident at Brendale this morning.

Initial investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit indicate that just before 11am, a Hyundai i30 was reversing at a Demarco Court property when it struck a pedestrian before travelling across the road, crashing through a fence and into a house.

The pedestrian, an 86-year-old Brendale man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The driver, an 81-year-old Brendale woman, was treated for minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has any information that could help police, is urged to come forward.
