A 74-year-old man has died following a car and pedestrian incident in Varsity Lakes this morning.
Queensland Police say that at around 8.45am, the man was crossing the two lanes of Christine Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle travelling west.
“The Palm Beach man was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
“The 80-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not physically injured during the incident,” Police said.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for any witnesses to come forward. In particular, anyone with dash cam footage of Christine Avenue, between Bridgewater Drive and Regensberg Close is asked to make contact.
