A 79-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash at Ipswich yesterday afternoon.
Early investigations suggest around 12.30pm, a Jeep Grand Cherokee intended to turn from Ellenborough Street into Limestone Street when it struck a motorcyclist travelling through intersection, Queensland Police said in a statement today.
“Members of the public rendered first aid to the 79-year-old local man before he was transported to hospital where he later died,” Police said.
The 47-year-old female Jeep driver was not physically injured in the collision.
The circumstances of the crash are being investigated by the Forensic Crash Unit and anyone with dashcam vision is asked to come forward, Police said.
