A 66-year-old Carrara man has died following a traffic crash at Nerang on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon.
Queensland Police say their initial investigations indicate that just after 2pm, the man was riding a motorcycle southbound on the Pacific Motorway when he collided with another vehicle.
“The collision resulted in the man coming off his motorcycle and being struck by an oncoming truck,” Police said.
“The man was declared deceased at the scene.”
The drivers of the two other vehicles were not physically injured, Police said.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the crash or the moments leading up to it to contact police.
