A 60-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a van at Burrum River today.
Queensland Police say that just after 11.40am, a Toyota Hiace Van was travelling south on Burrum Heads Road when it turned right into a caravan park and into the path of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
“The rider, a 60-year-old Apple Tree Creek man, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene,” Police said.
“A 70-year-old Hervey Bay man driving the van and a 70-year-old female passenger were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.”
