Missing woman case now a ‘sudden death’ investigation

An investigation into missing 78-year-old Toowong woman, Lesley Trotter, is now being treated as a sudden death investigation, Queensland Police announced this afternoon.

Police say Lesley (pictured) last spoke to family at around 11am on Monday, March 27th and has not been heard from since.

“Extensive investigations have led police to believe that Lesley is deceased,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

Two crime scenes have been established at the Maryvale Street unit complex where Lesley lives.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Maryvale Street between midnight on Monday, March 27, and midday on Tuesday, March 28, to contact police.

Police are also appealing to anyone with relevant dashcam vision or CCTV, particularly between 5am and 7am on Tuesday, March 28, to come forward.
