Queensland Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a body of an 86-year-old Mount Colliery man was recovered from a vehicle at Emu Creek, Danderoo, last Friday.
The man was initially reported missing to police earlier that day after failing to return from a trip to Warwick.
Officers conducted patrols of the area and located the man’s vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Camry, submerged in Emu Creek shortly before 1pm on Friday..
Initial investigations indicate the vehicle was swept into floodwaters from Junabee Road.
The man’s body, located in the vehicle, was recovered a short time later.
