Albany Detectives are investigating the reported robbery and sexual assault of a woman in her 50s at a business in Spencer Park in the early hours of Saturday.
Police say that at around 5.20am, the woman entered the business from the rear door. They say an unknown man entered the same Angove Road store two minutes later and confronted the victim.
“He punched the victim and demanded money. The victim was forced to hand over money and the man sexually assaulted her before fleeing,” WA Police said in a statement.
“The victim received medical treatment for facial injuries.”
The wanted man (pictured) is described as being 25 -30 years, brown skinned, 163 cm tall with a slim build, brown stubble on his face and distinctive looking teeth.
“Detectives urge anyone who saw any suspicious person, has CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area between 5am and 5.40am to come forward,” WA Police said.
