A mid north coast man in his 80s has suffered serious burns after the aerosol can he was using exploded earlier today.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance just after 1.30pm to rendezvous with paramedics at Port Macquarie Airport following the incident.
“The Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team have further stabilised the man and he has been airlifted to the burns unit at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for further specialist treatment,” the Westpac Rescue team said in a statement.
