A man aged in his 50s has drowned on the NSW South Coast this afternoon.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 3.30pm today, emergency services were called to Narrawallee Beach on Matron Porter Drive, Narrawallee, following reports of a man in distress in the water.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District with assistance from NSW Ambulance, Mollymook Surf Life Saving and the Toll Rescue Helicopter responded.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the man – believed to be in his 50s – however he couldn’t be revived,” Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
