A man in his 50s has died in a unit fire at Malabar this morning.
Police say just after 10am today, emergency services attended Wyee Place following reports that a unit was alight.
“A man aged in his 50s was pulled from the unit; however, he was unable to be revived and died at the scene,” NSW Police said in a statement.
The man has not yet been formally identified.
“The fire was extinguished, and the unit was significantly damaged,” police said.
“Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire and a brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.”
