A man has today been charged over a crash that killed a 53-year-old motorcyclist on the Pacific Motorway in Nerang last year.
Police say that on November 2, 2020, the motorcyclist was killed after taking evasive action to avoid a ladder which fell from a Mitsubishi ute.
“As a result, the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle and sustained fatal injuries,” Queensland Police said in a statement today.
“The alleged driver of the ute, a 40-year-old Burleigh Heads man, was yesterday charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.”
He was issued a Notice to Appear and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on May 5.
