Queensland Police have charged a 28-year-old NSW man following a fatal traffic crash in Yalboroo last week that claimed the life of a 71-year-old man.
Mackay Forensic Crash Unit officers say that a blue Toyota Corolla was travelling south along the Bruce Highway at around 11.45am on September 16th, when it turned onto Cathu O’Connell River Road in front of a motorbike travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider, a 71-year-old Bakers Creek man, passed away as a result of the crash.
The 28-year-old man has been charged with one count of drive without due care and attention causing death and is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on November 21.
