An 89-year-old man has died following a house fire in Toowoomba this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Wallace Street property in Newtown at approximately 3pm following reports of a house fire.
“A 89-year-old man was pulled from the fire but was declared deceased at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Initial investigations indicate the fire is non-suspicious; however, investigations into the cause are ongoing.”
