An 85-year-old Windermere Man has died after being thrown from a boat in waters off Bundaberg today.
Queensland Police say initial information indicates that at around 10.40am, two people were thrown from a boat into the Burnett River near Strathdees boat ramp at Rubyanna.
No other vessel is believed to be involved in the incident.
“An 85-year-old Windermere man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The driver of the boat, an 82-year-old Gooburrum man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.”
Water Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, with assistance from Maritime Safety Queensland.
