An 81-year-old man has died, and two people have been transported to hospital following a traffic crash in Booyal.
Police say their preliminary investigations indicate that at around 4.20pm yesterday, a Ford Falcon travelling south on the Bruce Highway collided with a Toyota Landcruiser travelling north.
“As a result of the collision, an 81-year-old North Isis man driving the Falcon was declared deceased at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“A 45-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital and a 16-year-old girl was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.”
The highway was closed until 9pm with SES diverting traffic around the scene.
