An 81-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s New England region overnight.
Police say that just before 10pm on Tuesday, a Honda CRV was travelling east on Mann Street in Armidale, when it lost control and left the roadway before colliding with a tree and overturning.
“Local residents responded along with emergency services and the driver, an 81-year-old man, was removed from the vehicle and CPR performed,” NSW Police said in a statement this morning.
“He was taken to Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, where he died shortly after.”
