ACT Policing will prepare a report for the coroner regarding the death of a 75-year-old man at Kambah Pool today.
Police say that at around 12:30pm on Saturday, officers received reports of a man going missing after entering the Murrumbidgee river.
“ACT Policing officers, AFP Search and Rescue, AFP Maritime Operations, ACT Ambulance Services and ACT State Emergency Service personnel, supported by the Toll Rescue helicopter, commenced a search downstream,” ACT Policing said in a statement.
“The man was located in the water at about 3pm and is confirmed as deceased.
“ACT Policing want to remind the public to take extreme care when swimming in any of the ACT Natural waterways.”
