Queensland Police are appealing for information following a violent burglary in Miles last night which saw a 72-year-old man hospitalised with injuries to his head and wrist.
Police say their initial investigations indicate that at around 7.30pm, three masked people forced entry into an Eleanor Street residence and an altercation has occurred between the offenders and the homeowners.
“A 72-year-old man was transported to Miles Hospital with minor injuries to his head and wrist. A 72-year-old woman was physically uninjured,” Police said in a statement.
“The offenders left the scene empty-handed. They are described as male, tall, skinny, wearing all black with facemasks and hats.”
Police are appealing to anyone with further information or footage from the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.
